The intent of the DCAC is to Serve the needs of Runners,
Walkers Tri-Athletes and Disabled Athletes. This includes the encouragement of all age
groups and abilities through a variety of programs and community
functions.
Our Objectives Include:
Promote
Our sports for competitive and
recreational participants.
Including exposing non-participants to the many positives associated with
our sports.
Educate
To provide instruction and
education to all levels of runners/walkers. Ranging from general fitness
to competitive athlete development.
Development
Through Programs such as RunningKids,
DCAC is committed to the ongoing education, training and development of
young runners. DCAC will also seek to benefit its members by offering
training programs for all levels of participants.
Community
To be an active supporter of
both the running and civic community. Through our involvement in many
races and events DCAC will strive to contribute to the benefit of members
and non-members alike.
Service
To promote and host events
that offer support to various charities and causes. Support ranging from
volunteer efforts to financial assistance (when available)
Represent
the Kentuckiana community in the larger sphere of regional, national, and
international activities involving track & field, long distance
running, and race walking. |
