Lightning Youth Athletes Makes Big Showing at 2006
Mason Dixon Games Led by Vanessa Triplett's
track record (Age Group) in
the 1500 Meters, the DCAC Youth Members ran
impressively. Triplett, running for Sacred Heart Model
School set a track record in the middle school 1500M
while running a PR of 5:17. DCAC runners represented 3
of the top 10, and 5 of the top 20 in the same event.
Later in the evening Patricia Smithwick captured the
Girls MS 800 Meters (2:36), besting her nearest
competitor by over 4 seconds. Again, DCAC runners took 5
of the top 20 positions. Coach Kenny Stottman
commented that "there were a lot of really good
performances. Especially for this early in the season.
